Senior Manager- Backend
OneTrust is seeking a Senior Manager- Backend to lead the development of its next-generation AI Governance platform. This role involves overseeing end-to-end development activities, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of internal systems, and translating AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI needs into clear product requirements and technical strategies. The position is based in Bengaluru, India, and offers an opportunity to shape a high-impact product area at the intersection of AI, enterprise software, and trust.
Key responsibilities include driving strategic planning and execution, developing key technologies to strengthen OneTrust’s position in AI Governance, creating new concepts from initial design through market release, and leading teams to deliver reliable, secure, and extensible AI Governance capabilities at enterprise scale. The role also involves coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical oversight and hands-on leadership to the team, and ensuring projects are delivered according to schedule without compromising quality, reliability, or customer trust.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with over 12 years of engineering experience and a strong track record in developing and delivering complex, enterprise-class software. Experience in development, operations, troubleshooting, and team management is essential, along with an understanding of operating in a DevOps model. Familiarity with AI agent ecosystems and deployment platforms such as Agent Core, Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry, and Google Vertex AI is preferred. Strong critical thinking, analytical, consulting, and conflict management skills are required, as well as experience in system design and architecture, and a solid understanding of the agile software development lifecycle.
