Senior Legal Counsel (Employment Law)
JetBrains is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Employment Law to join our team in Germany. This role involves providing expert legal support on German employment law and contributing to employment-related matters across JetBrains’ global operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HR and management to develop and implement employment practices that align with legal standards and business needs.
Key responsibilities include advising HR on sensitive and complex employee matters, drafting and reviewing employment agreements and HR-related policies, and handling a wide range of employee issues, including dispute resolution. The role also involves conducting in-depth analyses on employment and labor law topics, leading cross-functional projects, and advising on employee representation structures, particularly within Germany.
The ideal candidate will have a law degree with excellent academic credentials, fluency in German and English, and at least six years of post-qualification experience in employment and labor law. Experience in both in-house and reputable international law firm environments is advantageous. In-depth knowledge of German employment law, strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation, and the ability to provide clear, solutions-oriented guidance are essential.
