Metropolis is seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will design scalable, engaging, and performance-driven learning experiences that support career growth across the organization. You will collaborate closely with People Partners, subject matter experts, and business leaders to translate complex concepts into high-quality, learner-centered solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing engaging learning programs aligned with business priorities and L&D strategy. You will apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create experiences that drive knowledge retention and on-the-job application. Additionally, you will build blended learning solutions incorporating eLearning, instructor-led training, virtual sessions, toolkits, and job aids, leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance learning design and content development.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or L&D program development. A strong grounding in adult learning theory, instructional design models, and blended learning strategies is essential. Demonstrated experience creating video-based learning content, including the use of AI-enabled video tools, and proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, Camtasia, or Captivate are required. Excellent communication, storytelling, and project management skills are also necessary.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $95,000.00 USD to $115,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more.
