Upstart is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Offer Delivery (PLG) Team, focusing on enhancing user engagement through intelligent offer generation and personalized product recommendations. This role is pivotal in creating an always-available credit experience, ensuring users have continuous access to Upstart's credit products. The Senior Engineering Manager will define and implement an engineering roadmap that supports intelligent and personalized offer and product recommendations. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional partners such as Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Research Scientists to drive impactful programs. The role also involves leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing engineering team focused on delivering high-quality solutions and incrementally enhancing systems. Additionally, the manager will leverage experimentation and data-driven insights to refine growth strategies, optimizing user engagement and conversion through continuous testing, iteration, and personalization. Creating a scalable offer generation infrastructure that grows with the user base and all Upstart products is also a key responsibility.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in a direct people management role. Experience leading product-oriented teams with measurable user impact is essential. The ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences is also required.

The anticipated base salary for this remote position in the United States ranges from $195,300 to $270,400 USD.
