Senior Engineering Manager
Bitso is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and expand our engineering teams. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development of scalable, secure, and high-quality products, placing our users at the center of our efforts. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to define strategies, set priorities, and align on roadmaps, ensuring the delivery of exceptional products in a high-volume trading environment.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities will include managing and mentoring engineers and other leads, fostering their professional growth. You will be responsible for the health and growth of your team members, identifying high performers and providing support to those needing assistance. Your role involves running performance reviews, assigning promotions, and ensuring robust succession planning. Additionally, you will provide hands-on technical guidance, oversee engineering teams to ensure high productivity and technical excellence, and foster a strong culture of collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the crypto ecosystem and possess over six years of experience managing engineering teams, including at least two years managing managers. A strong background in trading or investment platforms is essential, along with a proven ability to scale engineering teams and optimize delivery processes. Deep technical expertise in software engineering, architecture, and team building is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across functions, geographies, and remote teams. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, experience with Git and automated CI/CD tools, and the ability to coordinate sizeable multidisciplinary product engineering squads are also important.
