Senior Engineer, Scientific Software and Developer Platform, Modeling and Simulation

Kairos Power is seeking a Senior Engineer for Scientific Software and Developer Platform in Modeling and Simulation. This role involves developing and maintaining scientific and engineering software in Python and C++, including numerical algorithms and computational modeling. The engineer will own software architecture, CI/CD, packaging, artifact delivery, containerization, quality assurance, and reproducible releases. Additionally, the role supports high-performance computing workflows using Slurm, MPI, GPUs, and Open OnDemand. The engineer will establish engineering standards, conduct design and code reviews, mentor engineers, diagnose complex software issues, and collaborate with nuclear engineers and computational scientists.
