Senior Director, Federal Sales
Tenable, Inc., a leading cybersecurity company headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, is seeking a Senior Director of Federal Sales to lead a high-performing team across the Civilian, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal System Integrator (FSI) sectors. In this role, the Senior Director will be responsible for recruiting, mentoring, and empowering a diverse sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous professional growth. They will oversee the pipeline lifecycle and forecasting, providing data-driven insights to executive leadership. The position also involves engaging with senior Federal stakeholders, designing and executing a comprehensive Federal Go-to-Market plan, leading complex negotiations for large-scale contracts, and building relationships with Federal channel partners.
Candidates should have over seven years of Director-level management experience in a fast-paced enterprise software sales environment, with at least five years in a quota-carrying role within the Federal Government, consistently exceeding multi-million dollar targets. A minimum of five years of experience selling cybersecurity solutions, such as Vulnerability Management, Zero Trust, Cloud Security, or Compliance frameworks, is required. Applicants should possess a deep understanding of Federal contract vehicles and agency-specific buying behaviors, along with an established network of agency decision-makers and Federal channel partners. Technical acumen to translate complex technical capabilities into mission-focused outcomes for Federal customers is essential.
The compensation for this role includes a base salary, with additional variable compensation based on performance. Employees are also eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
