The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and effective leader, adept at building scalable data products and fostering high-performing teams.
Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team to develop and maintain accurate, automated data pipelines and models, overseeing the architecture and design of the business intelligence ecosystem across internal and client-facing environments, and driving innovation by integrating new data sources and exploring advanced analytics approaches. Additionally, the Senior Director will be responsible for evolving and enforcing quality assurance processes, data governance standards, and best practices, as well as managing stakeholder expectations and project timelines for cross-functional data initiatives.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics within an advertising agency or client environment, with a strong background in digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. A minimum of two years in a leadership or management role is required, along with proven experience in building scalable data pipelines and modeling data using SQL and tools like dbt. Expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Cloud Composer) is essential, as is a deep understanding of ETL/ELT workflows and data warehousing best practices. Hands-on experience integrating with APIs and managing large-scale data ingestion, familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also necessary.
The anticipated annual salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $195,000, based on factors such as skill set, experience, education, and market dynamics. The total compensation package includes benefits like unlimited paid time off, extended holiday breaks, flexible schedules, work-from-anywhere options, 100% paid parental leave, 401(k) matching, and various insurance coverages. An annual performance bonus is also part of the compensation, contingent upon company, department, and individual performance.
