Chainguard is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Business Applications to lead the strategy, development, and management of core go-to-market (GTM) software systems. This role is pivotal in aligning technology with business goals within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will serve as the executive owner of the GTM tech stack, with Salesforce at its core, driving continuous optimization across lead-to-cash, quote-to-revenue, and customer lifecycle workflows.

Key responsibilities include defining and maintaining a multi-year GTM systems roadmap, balancing near-term business priorities with long-term scalability, data integrity, and architectural excellence. The role involves leading the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of modern and AI-enabled GTM technologies to improve seller productivity, pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and customer engagement. Additionally, the Senior Director will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Security, and Product leaders to translate business strategy into scalable system design and process automation.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience building, scaling, and leading GTM systems or business applications in high-growth B2B SaaS or cloud-native environments. Deep, hands-on expertise with Salesforce architecture and implementation is essential, along with strong working knowledge of Marketing Automation, Sales Engagement, Revenue Intelligence, Customer Success, and BI platforms. Proven ability to design end-to-end GTM architectures, including data flows, integrations, analytics, and automation across the customer lifecycle, is required. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence executives and develop high-performing technical organizations, are also crucial.

Chainguard offers a flexible and remote-first culture, providing opportunities for team meetups, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone, and internet costs. Employees receive stock options upon hire and promotion, with the option to participate in secondary offerings and a 10-year window to exercise options. The company covers 100% of health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for employees and their dependents. Additionally, Chainguard provides flexible time off and 18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, with 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, usable all at once or throughout the child's first year.

At Chainguard, we are customer-obsessed, focusing on delivering solutions that create value and improve our customers' lives. We have a bias for intentional action, prioritizing, planning, trying new things, and learning from failures. While we take our work seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously, enjoying the journey as we solve important problems. We trust each other and assume good intentions, maintaining transparency in decisions to empower team members to make well-informed choices.
