Senior Data Engineer
Onapsis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting business-critical applications. This role is ideal for experienced data engineers with a proven track record in architecting scalable data pipelines, leveraging cloud technologies, and contributing to high-impact cybersecurity solutions. You will be responsible for building high-performance ETL frameworks, optimizing data platforms, and enhancing our customers' threat detection, response, and remediation capabilities.
In this position, you will work directly with Principal Engineers to evaluate, scope, propose, and build features that fulfill business solution requirements aimed at protecting our customers. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining data lakehouse solutions, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud technologies, developing data models and processing frameworks, integrating multiple data sources into data warehouses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to co-develop AI-driven features. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, monitor and enhance data pipelines, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and establish comprehensive documentation for data architecture and governance.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of data architecture and cloud-based ETL/ELT frameworks. Strong experience with AWS or Azure, particularly with services like Glue, EMR, S3, and Lambda, is essential. Proficiency in big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and Databricks, as well as Python libraries for data processing and machine learning, is required. Hands-on experience in building real-time data processing and AI/ML-driven analytics solutions, familiarity with compliance and audit requirements, and strong problem-solving skills focused on data integrity, scalability, and performance optimization are also necessary.
