Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a national litigation firm specializing in insurance defense and civil litigation, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their team in Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded in 2002, the firm has grown to over 200 attorneys across 18 states, committed to delivering justice through innovation and outstanding client service.
As a Senior Counsel, you will lead high-exposure cases, develop compelling case themes, and independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. You will collaborate with a diverse team, maintain routine communications with clients, and cultivate relationships with existing and future clients. Additionally, you will provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the firm.
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved school and be licensed in Nevada. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience handling insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential. Strong time management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are crucial.
Compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $135,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers increasing by $7,500. Comprehensive benefits are offered, including health, vision, dental, and life coverage, with employer contributions averaging $700 to $1,700 annually.
