Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationwide AV-rated litigation firm specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Denver, Colorado office. As a Senior Counsel, you will independently manage complex litigation cases, develop compelling case themes, and lead trial preparation efforts. Your responsibilities will include handling court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, while working closely with a team of attorneys at various experience levels. You will also maintain regular communication with clients, cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients, and provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved school and be licensed to practice in Colorado. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills, is crucial.
Compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional increments for higher tiers. The firm offers comprehensive benefits, including health, vision, dental, and life coverage, with employer contributions averaging $700 to $1,700 annually.
