Senior Counsel

Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationwide litigation firm specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their New York office. In this role, the Senior Counsel will independently manage complex litigation cases, develop compelling case themes, and lead court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. The position involves routine communication with clients, cultivating relationships with existing and potential clients, and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.

Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved school and be licensed in the State of New York. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred, along with proficiency in MS Suite and the ability to manage full case handling responsibilities with minimal supervision.

The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus, comprehensive benefits coverage, a 401(k) program with employer matching, and additional perks such as student loan repayment assistance and paid parental leave.
