Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their Seattle, WA office. This role offers an opportunity to lead high-exposure cases within a firm renowned for its innovative approach to insurance defense and commitment to stopping Nuclear Verdicts®. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and achieving justice through strategic litigation.

The Senior Counsel will independently handle all facets of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. Responsibilities encompass developing compelling case themes, managing full case handling duties, and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys. Routine communication with clients and cultivating relationships with existing and future clients are also key aspects of the role.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active bar license in the State of Washington. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills, are essential.

The base salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus ranging from $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating $7,500 each.
