Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Los Angeles, CA office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team dedicated to innovative insurance defense and trial advocacy. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing effective case strategies, managing court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials independently. Collaboration with attorneys and staff at all levels is essential, as is maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients. Additionally, the role involves building and nurturing client relationships and mentoring junior attorneys to contribute to the team's success.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of California. A minimum of 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation, is required. The ability to manage a full caseload independently from discovery through trial is essential. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $115,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers available.
