Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our Orange County, CA office. The Senior Counsel will independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials. Responsibilities include developing compelling case themes, managing all facets of discovery and trial, and providing leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys. Routine communication with clients and cultivating relationships with existing and future clients are also key aspects of this role.
Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-approved school and be licensed in the State of California. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Experience handling insurance defense matters is preferred. Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills, is essential.
The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating with $7,500.
