Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a seasoned Senior Counsel to join our dynamic litigation team in Jersey City, New Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-exposure cases and contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional legal services.
The Senior Counsel will independently manage all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and trial preparations. Responsibilities encompass developing compelling case themes, maintaining routine client communications, and fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys within the firm.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school and hold an active bar license in the State of New Jersey. A minimum of eight years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with strong time management skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exhibit outstanding communication skills.
The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
