Senior Counsel
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. In this position, you will develop compelling case themes, independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials, and collaborate with team members across various experience levels. Regular communication with clients and cultivating relationships with both existing and prospective clients are essential aspects of the role. Additionally, you will provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced attorneys, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school and possesses an active California Bar license. A minimum of 8 years of solid litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation, is required. Preferred qualifications include experience in insurance defense matters, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to manage full case responsibilities with minimal supervision. Outstanding communication skills and a professional demeanor are also essential.
The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
