As Senior Counsel, Product at Headway, you will serve as a strategic partner to the Product and Engineering teams, providing legal guidance on healthcare regulations and technology innovations. Your role will focus on health laws and regulations that impact the development of innovative technology products in the mental healthcare sector. While preference is given to candidates based in New York, exceptional candidates nationwide will be considered.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams, offering real-time guidance on the use of technology in healthcare delivery, artificial intelligence, and clinical modalities. You will also partner with the Compliance team on policy development, audit responses, and remediation strategies, translating complex healthcare regulations into practical, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders. Anticipating regulatory challenges and proactively developing solutions that align with business objectives while ensuring compliance will be key aspects of your role.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of post-bar admittance legal experience, with significant expertise in healthcare regulatory matters, particularly in health technology and product counseling. A deep understanding of multi-state healthcare regulations in evolving regulatory environments is essential. Experience serving as a trusted advisor to Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance teams in a healthcare technology setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities to build effective partnerships are crucial.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $179,200 to $280,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
