In this role, the Senior Counsel will be responsible for developing and executing legal strategies that support the Market Access organization, with a significant emphasis on government price reporting. Key responsibilities include serving as counsel for the Government Price Reporting function, advising on federal price reporting requirements, and providing guidance on compliance matters related to the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act. The position also involves offering strategic legal counsel to senior management on product pricing and access issues, preparing and negotiating complex government agreements, and assisting in the development of policies and training programs.
Candidates for this position should possess a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be in good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction where the office is located. A minimum of seven years of relevant legal experience, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry, is required. Proficiency in government price reporting requirements, including AMP, Best Price, ASP, and 340B, as well as federal healthcare program contracting (e.g., Medicaid, VA), is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage high-visibility projects are crucial, along with a demonstrated capacity to independently identify practical legal solutions to complex challenges in dynamic environments.
The compensation for this role ranges from $156,000 to $296,500 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
