Senior Counsel, Corporate and Commercial

Public Storage is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its Corporate Legal Department. This role involves providing strategic legal advice on corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. The Senior Counsel will collaborate with various business units to support the company's objectives and initiatives.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts such as supply, service, and licensing agreements. The role also involves advising on corporate structure and governance issues, managing legal disputes in collaboration with external counsel, and developing policies to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to the state bar in good standing. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably within a corporate legal department or reputable law firm, is required. Strong knowledge of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, contract law, and regulatory compliance is essential, along with excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
