Senior Associate – Construction (Back-End)
McCullough Robertson, a commercially focused law firm with a 100-year history, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Sydney Construction team. The firm, comprising over 450 staff across Brisbane and Sydney, is known for its collaborative approach and dedication to high-calibre national and international clients. The Construction and Infrastructure team provides comprehensive support across various industries, including mining, energy, renewable energy projects, utilities, ports, airports, and transport infrastructure.
In this role, the Senior Associate will handle a range of construction and infrastructure disputes, such as complex contract disputes, regulatory enforcements, arbitration, and Security of Payment adjudications. The client base primarily consists of top and mid-tier contractors, with the team also advising relevant government agencies. The position involves drafting legal documents, providing strategic advice, and collaborating directly with clients and partners in both Brisbane and Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years post-admission experience in back-end construction law, gained in a mid to large-sized firm. A passion for the construction industry and a desire to develop a long-term career in this field are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team are also required.
