Lawyer - Planning and Environment
McCullough Robertson is seeking a motivated lawyer to join its Planning and Environment team in Brisbane. This team comprises approachable specialists who collaborate to address complex regulatory, legal, and environmental challenges for a diverse clientele, including state and local governments, developers, property owners, and renewable energy companies. In this role, you will engage in a variety of planning and environmental matters. Responsibilities include handling appeals and enforcement proceedings in the Planning and Environment Court, advising on planning, environmental, and building issues, drafting and negotiating infrastructure agreements, and providing strategic advice on infrastructure planning, environmental compliance, and land use rights. Additionally, you will assist local governments with governance and rating issues and support health prosecutions.
The ideal candidate will have two to three years of post-admission experience, with strong technical expertise in planning and environment law. A client-centered approach, enthusiasm for building a specialist career in this field, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment are essential.
