Security Engineer - Pre-sales
Tenable, Inc., a leading cybersecurity company founded in 2002, is seeking a Security Engineer - Pre-sales to join their team. This role is based remotely in Illinois and involves collaborating with Enterprise Territory Managers to drive strategic enterprise sales.
In this position, the Security Engineer will deliver compelling technical presentations and live demonstrations of Tenable's enterprise products. They will manage software trials and Proof of Concept evaluations, aligning Tenable's solutions with customer business objectives. The role also includes providing consultative guidance on security best practices, compliance frameworks, and risk management, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers and identifying new strategic opportunities.
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical sales role, with a proven track record as a successful sales engineer. A customer-centric mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead technical proof-of-value engagements are essential. Ideally, applicants will have 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, with expertise in vulnerability management, cloud security, or complex enterprise SaaS.
