Roadway Project Engineer
Benesch is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Glastonbury, Connecticut. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to transportation infrastructure projects within a dynamic and growing firm dedicated to enhancing communities nationwide. The position operates on a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
The Roadway Project Engineer will work closely with senior staff to deliver transportation projects, executing project work plans independently within a design team. Responsibilities include managing budgets and schedules as provided by the Project Manager, mentoring junior staff, and interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Connecticut is required, or the ability to obtain licensure through comity within one year. Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and compliance with project CADD standards are essential. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of adhering to design budgets and schedules are also necessary.
