Roadway Project Engineer
Benesch is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Tennessee. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to transportation projects that enhance infrastructure and communities. The position is based in our Franklin or Nashville office, with a hybrid work schedule.
The Roadway Project Engineer will collaborate with senior staff to deliver transportation projects, execute project work plans independently within a design team, and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules set by the Project Manager. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff and interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience, a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, and be a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee or able to obtain licensure within one year. Experience with public agencies, private entities, or municipalities, as well as proficiency in developing plans and specifications per DOT standards, is required. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and advanced use of MicroStation and Geopak are essential. Experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
