Benesch is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer to join our Civil Roadway team in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. This role involves working on transportation design projects, with a focus on developing plans in accordance with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) standards. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

The Roadway Project Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing project schedules and work plans, managing project teams to ensure adherence to budgets and timelines, and mentoring junior staff. The role also includes contributing to the division's strategic growth initiatives, collaborating on regional growth strategies, and interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, including PennDOT, PTC, and county agencies. Additionally, the engineer will represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events and identify opportunities to lead strategic project pursuits.

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience and hold a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania is preferred, or candidates should be planning to obtain licensure in the near future. Experience working with public agencies, private entities, and municipalities is essential, along with progressive experience in developing plans, specifications, and submissions per PennDOT standards and requirements.
