Roadway Group Manager
Benesch is seeking an experienced Roadway Group Manager to lead and expand our roadway engineering group in Kansas and Missouri. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex projects involving roadway planning, traffic engineering, and civil and roadway design. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with significant experience in client development and providing transportation engineering services for public agencies, including Departments of Transportation, counties, and municipalities.
The Roadway Group Manager will be responsible for managing and growing our Kansas-based roadway engineering group. Key responsibilities include overseeing project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives. The role also involves developing and managing relationships with new and existing clients, representing Benesch at industry events, identifying opportunities, leading strategic project pursuits, and collaborating on regional growth strategies.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and hold Professional Engineer licensure in Kansas and Missouri or have the ability to obtain licensure upon hire. Experience working with the Kansas and Missouri Departments of Transportation and/or local agencies is preferred. The role requires progressive experience in project development and delivery of roadway planning and design services, as well as strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. The ability to lead, manage, and grow a diverse, dynamic team is essential.
