Experian, a global data and technology company, is seeking a Risk Manager to join their Information Security team. This pivotal role within the UK&I business will support executive and senior management in enhancing the quality and resolution of issue and loss event management. The position reports directly to the Risk and Control Director of Information Technology Services.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for managing issues, including policy deviations and risk acceptances, ensuring compliance with internal policies, standards, and reporting deadlines. The role involves collaborating with the EITS leadership team to proactively address and remediate issues, preparing governance packs, and engaging with second and third-line stakeholders to support ongoing reviews and monitoring of remedial actions. Regular meetings with senior management and risk owners will be conducted to review progress on risk and control processes, including incident management, loss events, issue management, and root cause analysis.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in Technology & Change or Operational risk, preferably within a first or second line of defense capacity. Experience in Financial Services or Fintech is essential, along with a strong background in developing and operating industry-standard Technology Risk Management Frameworks. Proficiency in technology practices and frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, and NIST is required. A relevant degree or equivalent technology professional qualification is necessary, along with the ability to establish trusted advisor relationships, produce executive-level risk reports, and apply technical knowledge effectively.
