Risk Management Engineer 3
Intuitive is seeking a Risk Management Engineer 3 to join their team in Mexicali, Mexico. This role focuses on enhancing the reliability, quality, and safety of Intuitive's medical devices, including the da Vinci® Surgical System. As a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery, Intuitive is committed to advancing minimally invasive care through innovative technology.
In this position, the engineer will participate in risk analyses for both hardware and software components of new and existing products. Responsibilities include updating risk documentation based on post-market reviews, collaborating with design engineering to trace risk to requirements and tests, and working with manufacturing engineering on process risk documents. Additionally, the role involves reviewing technical and quality information for regulatory submissions and engaging in quality process improvement projects as needed.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or system engineering, life sciences, mathematics, or physics. A strong understanding of quality and compliance systems, including CFR 21 820 and ISO 13485, is essential. Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is required. Experience in a medical device company is preferred, along with familiarity with design controls, change controls, and engineering processes.
