Regulatory Counsel

The Regulatory Counsel at VGW will provide expert legal advice on U.S. gaming laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable laws. This role involves advising on government affairs activities, including lobbying, ethics, and campaign finance laws, and acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex regulatory and legal matters. Additionally, the Regulatory Counsel will draft and maintain internal legal guidelines related to regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include providing expert legal advice on U.S. gaming laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, advising on government affairs activities to ensure compliance with lobbying, ethics, and campaign finance laws, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex regulatory and legal matters, and drafting and maintaining internal legal guidelines related to regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house within the gaming or another highly regulated industry, an active bar membership, significant experience advising government affairs teams and working with U.S. regulators on licensing and enforcement processes, strong risk management skills, high commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently across different jurisdictions and time zones while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
