Regulatory Counsel

VGW is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to join its Legal team in the USA, focusing on gaming and government affairs regulation. This role involves providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance and manage legal risks within the company's interactive entertainment operations.

Key responsibilities include offering expert legal advice on U.S. gaming laws across multiple jurisdictions, advising on government affairs activities to ensure compliance with lobbying, ethics, and campaign finance laws, and acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex regulatory matters. Additionally, the role involves drafting and maintaining internal legal guidelines related to regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house within the gaming or another highly regulated industry, along with an active bar membership. Significant experience advising government affairs teams and working with U.S. regulators on licensing and enforcement processes is essential. Strong risk management skills, high commercial acumen, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently across different jurisdictions and time zones are also required.
