Product Line Director - Castings (US - Remote)
The Product Line Director for Castings at Fictiv is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the company's castings business, encompassing die casting, investment casting, and sand casting. As the senior-most expert in castings, this individual will drive the vision, strategy, and growth of a diverse and tooling-intensive portfolio. The role demands proactive leadership to anticipate market trends, identify opportunities, and translate insights into decisive actions across various departments.
Key responsibilities include defining and evolving product line strategy, pricing, and go-to-market positioning to achieve profitable top-line growth and enhanced customer value. The director will shape Fictiv’s castings capability roadmap by determining supported processes, alloys, tolerance classes, part sizes, certifications, and secondary operations. Collaboration with Solution Engineering, Program Management, and regional General Managers is essential to identify capability gaps and set qualification standards within the manufacturing partner network.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing), Operations Management, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in metal castings, including die casting, investment casting, and/or sand casting, is required, along with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on growth, operations, or business development. Deep expertise in casting processes and technologies, alloy selection, tooling considerations, and secondary operations is essential.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $145,000 to $240,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a 25% variable compensation potential. Benefits offered include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, and generous PTO and leave programs.
