Technical Project Manager - Manufacturing
Fictiv is seeking a Technical Project Manager – Manufacturing to join our team in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico. In this role, you will lead cross-functional manufacturing programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality custom mechanical parts to our global customers. As the primary point of contact for assigned projects, you will oversee their execution from initiation through production and delivery, aligning with customer requirements and company objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and managing detailed project plans, coordinating between internal teams and external manufacturing partners, and serving as the main customer interface for project updates and issue resolution. You will identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, manage post-sale changes, and ensure compliance with quality management systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and workflows.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling Design, or a related technical field, along with 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal, tooling, or OEM/contract manufacturing environments. A minimum of 2–3 years in a project management role within manufacturing is required, with experience in NPI/NPD and APQP within production environments. Strong planning, scope management, and risk mitigation skills are essential, as well as fluency in English and Spanish.
Preferred qualifications include PMP certification (or progress toward it), experience working with global customers or multicultural teams, and a strong understanding of quality systems, sourcing, and supplier management. A high sense of urgency, ownership mindset, and strong problem-solving capabilities are also desirable.
