Product Line Director - Castings (Monterrey, México)
The Product Line Director - Castings at Fictiv is responsible for overseeing the company's casting operations, including die casting, investment casting, and sand casting. This role involves developing and executing strategies to drive growth and profitability within the casting product line, ensuring alignment with Fictiv's overall business objectives. The director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance market positioning and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include defining and evolving product line strategies, pricing, and go-to-market positioning to achieve profitable growth and strong margin performance. The director will proactively analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions. Additionally, they will shape Fictiv's casting capability roadmap by identifying process improvements, alloy selections, tolerance classes, and secondary operations, while establishing qualification and onboarding standards for manufacturing partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing), Operations Management, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. They should have over 10 years of hands-on experience in metal castings, including die casting, investment casting, and/or sand casting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role responsible for growth, operations, or business development. Deep expertise in casting processes and technologies, strong commercial acumen, and excellent leadership and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 is also required.
