Privacy Counsel
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join its New York office. This role involves working within the firm's Global Litigation Group, focusing on privacy, cyber risk, data security, telecommunications, and technology regulation. The Privacy Counsel will be responsible for advising clients on compliance with federal and state laws related to privacy and data security. This includes representing clients in federal and state investigations and enforcement actions, as well as conducting internal investigations and risk assessments. The role also involves developing and implementing corporate compliance programs and providing strategic counsel on privacy-related matters.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in New York. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in privacy law, data security, or related fields is required. Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
