Principal Technical Marketing Engineer | UK | Remote
Grafana Labs is seeking a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer to join their fully remote team in the United Kingdom. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical product capabilities and customer understanding, specifically focusing on observability and platform engineering. The successful candidate will act as a technical liaison, creating compelling demos, workshops, and webinars that demonstrate the value of Grafana Cloud to SRE and platform engineering leaders. You will work closely with Product Marketing and Sales Engineering teams to ensure consistent, high-quality technical storytelling and enable sellers with effective tools and narratives.
In this role, you will be responsible for building strategic, buyer-focused demos, videos, workshops, and webinars. This includes creating and maintaining polished, narrative-driven demos that highlight Grafana’s value for SRE and platform engineering leaders, recording high-quality technical demo videos and walkthroughs in partnership with our video and content teams, and leading webinars, workshops, and technical sessions designed for evaluators. Additionally, you will serve as the technical liaison to the Solutions Engineering organization, ensuring consistent messaging and demo guidance, producing technical enablement assets, value-driven talk tracks, competitive narratives, and demo best practices, and helping SEs and sellers communicate Grafana’s story with clarity, confidence, and differentiation.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in a technical role, such as solutions engineering, SRE, DevOps, backend engineering, or technical product marketing. A strong understanding of observability concepts and the needs of SRE and platform teams is essential. The ability to translate deep technical concepts into clear, value-focused stories, experience presenting technical content through demos, workshops, or webinars, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required. Strong cross-functional collaboration and a high ownership mindset are important, as is comfort with light scripting or workflow automation.
In the UK, the base compensation range for this role is GBP 103,958 to GBP 124,750 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
