OneTrust is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to join our team, focusing on the western United States. In this role, you will drive business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise, competitive positioning, and product evaluation across multiple verticals to support prospective customers for the OneTrust Data Privacy Compliance platform.

Key responsibilities include serving as a technical expert on system integrations during major sales opportunities, leading technical deep dive discussions to architect integrations, and advising customers on best practices. You will support sales teams with client meetings, presentations, and custom integration design options, coordinate with internal R&D, technical integrations, and partner integration teams to influence product capabilities and future direction, and drive sales and marketing efforts in producing high-quality sales proposals and supporting assets. Maintaining all sales cycle activities within the CRM system is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, with 12-16 years of relevant experience in the technology industry, ideally in an enterprise cloud-based software company. Expertise in selling, configuring, and delivering software demonstrations, implementing software products or solutions to enterprise companies, and advanced experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, FreeMarker, HTML, and CSS are required. Experience with Kubernetes (preferred), Docker, and OpenShift, as well as advanced knowledge of web applications, SaaS architecture, cloud computing, and programming, are also important. The ability to build relationships across stakeholders in R&D, marketing, sales, and engineering, along with strong entrepreneurial skills to excel in a complex and rapidly evolving environment, is essential. Willingness to travel, as the job requires (estimated 25%), is also necessary.

For candidates based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington, the annual base pay range for this role is $127,500 to $191,250 USD. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
