Principal Architect
OneTrust is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the technical direction across its product platform within the Architecture Services team. This central team is responsible for shaping the multi-year architecture strategy and ensuring cohesive technical decisions across the organization. The Principal Architect will play a pivotal role in aligning various product domains and addressing complex architectural challenges that span multiple teams.
In this role, the Principal Architect will lead the development of a multi-year architecture strategy, collaborating with domain architects to unify technical plans into a cohesive platform direction. They will address cross-domain architectural challenges, set non-functional requirements such as security, privacy, reliability, performance, scalability, and cost, and participate early in product discovery to assess feasibility and identify risks. Additionally, they will propose R&D-wide architecture standards and guide the design documentation process, ensuring governance that facilitates delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software architecture, with a strong background in leading technical direction across multiple domains. They should possess a deep understanding of non-functional requirements and have a proven track record in setting and enforcing architecture standards. Experience in AI-native architecture enablement, including the development of automated architectural checks and AI-assisted design reviews, is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide other architects, are essential.
