Principal (Antitrust & Competition Economics)
Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Principal to join its Antitrust and Competition Economics practice in Oakland, CA. CRA is a leading global consulting firm that provides economic, financial, and business management expertise to major law firms, corporations, and governments worldwide. The Antitrust and Competition Economics practice specializes in delivering economic analysis, advice, and testimony for antitrust and merger cases globally.
In this role, the Principal will act as the primary point of contact for clients, assisting in the development and presentation of deliverables, including expert reports summarizing opinions, conclusions, and recommendations. The Principal will work with leading academics and senior practitioners to provide economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters before major competition authorities worldwide. Responsibilities also include managing the research process, supervising, training, and mentoring junior analysts, and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of experience managing client relationships and project teams in a consulting environment. A Ph.D. or ABD in economics, finance, accounting, or a closely related field is required, with specific expertise in industrial organization, applied microeconomics, econometrics, labor, intellectual property, pricing, corporate finance, financial accounting, or other quantitative areas. Previous experience in teaching, research, or industry is desirable.
