Policy Enforcement Strategist

As a Policy Enforcement Strategist at Stripe, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Partnerships, Operations, and Data Science—to design and implement strategies that enhance Stripe's risk controls and user experience. Your role involves conducting research and analysis to assess current risk performance, developing long-term strategic plans, and leading data-driven enforcement strategies across Stripe's products and services. You will configure and maintain detection systems, leverage internal and external data sources for in-depth analyses, and define key performance indicators to measure enforcement effectiveness. Additionally, you will represent Stripe in external engagements with critical partners and customers, and execute special projects as initiatives and opportunities evolve.

The ideal candidate has over eight years of professional experience, preferably in financial services, payments, or fintech industries, with a background in risk, compliance, or product enablement roles. You should have experience developing risk strategies and solutions, working with technical and operations teams to implement them, and the ability to distill complex risk and policy issues into clear guidance for stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management skills, a track record of deriving insights from complex problems, and the ability to take ownership and drive towards ambitious goals are essential. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment are also important.
