People Operations and Payroll Freelancer

Lucanet is seeking a People Operations and Payroll Freelancer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our People Operations department, focusing on managing payroll processes and supporting various HR functions. As a freelancer, you will collaborate closely with our global team to ensure smooth and efficient operations within a rapidly growing company.

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing payroll administration, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and maintaining accurate employee records. You will also assist in onboarding new employees, managing benefits programs, and addressing employee inquiries related to payroll and HR policies. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and human resources, with at least 4–6 years of experience in HR Operations or People Operations. A thorough understanding of Romanian labor law is essential, and exposure to international labor laws is advantageous. We are looking for someone who can handle complex situations independently, is adaptable to both routine tasks and ambiguous scenarios, and possesses a proactive mindset to drive improvements without constant guidance.

You will have the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional visits to our Bucharest office for team collaboration.
