Paralegal- Mass Tort
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Paralegal to join their Complex Litigation practice in Tampa, Florida. This role involves managing client cases from retention through resolution, ensuring thorough preparation and proper filing to achieve optimal recovery outcomes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing claims, gathering documentation, maintaining case data, and facilitating efficient progression through the litigation process.
Key responsibilities include reviewing client questionnaires and supporting documentation to determine statutes of limitations, validating injuries and exposures, and identifying cases requiring additional investigation. The Paralegal will communicate with clients to gather necessary information, respond to inquiries, and ensure timely collection of required documentation. Additionally, the role involves reviewing medical records and other evidence to confirm eligibility criteria, preparing case materials for attorney review, coordinating filing activities, and maintaining accurate case information within the firm's case management system.
The ideal candidate will possess an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. Strong organizational skills are essential, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment. Proficiency in learning and adopting new technologies, with an interest in integrating technology and automation into case workflows, is also desired.
