On-Site Sales & Supply Specialist
The On-Site Sales & Supply Specialist at Fictiv is a pivotal role embedded within Panasonic Energy of North America's (PENA) cylindrical lithium-ion cell manufacturing operation at Tesla's Gigafactory 1 in Sparks, NV. This position serves as the primary liaison between MISUMI Americas and PENA, focusing on managing procurement needs, overseeing a smart vending operation, and identifying opportunities to expand the partnership.
Daily responsibilities include responding promptly to quote requests and order inquiries, ensuring timely product shipments, and proactively communicating shipping schedules to preempt potential issues. The specialist is also tasked with monitoring inventory levels, coordinating product additions and rearrangements based on customer requests, and maintaining accurate inventory databases. Additionally, the role involves drafting new service offerings, collaborating with other EV-related teams on potential vending machine expansion opportunities, and creating materials to support partnership growth.
Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills, with fluency in English required; bilingual proficiency in Japanese or Spanish is advantageous and compensated. Experience in sales or account management is essential, along with operational discipline and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with learning inventory and database systems are necessary. A bachelor's degree is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience is also considered.
