Oceans Staff Attorney
The Center for Biological Diversity is seeking an Oceans Staff Attorney to join our dedicated team working to protect marine life and ecosystems. This role involves collaborating with a passionate group of professionals committed to environmental conservation and legal advocacy.
The Oceans Staff Attorney will be responsible for developing and implementing legal strategies to safeguard marine species and habitats. This includes litigating cases under environmental laws, engaging in policy advocacy, and collaborating with scientists and campaigners to advance ocean conservation initiatives.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A strong background in environmental law, particularly related to marine issues, is essential. Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
