NQ Financial Regulatory Associate
Clifford Chance is seeking a Newly Qualified (NQ) Financial Regulatory Associate to join its esteemed financial regulatory practice. In this role, the associate will be responsible for advising clients on innovative business strategies, including expansion into new markets and the development of new products and platforms. Key responsibilities encompass providing guidance on UK regulatory perimeters, marketing restrictions, netting and collateral arrangements, and the implementation of regulatory changes. The associate will also prepare standard terms of business, depositary and custody agreements, and distribution or placement agent agreements. Additionally, the role involves advising on bank, asset manager, and investment firm authorizations, as well as fund formation, marketing requirements, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified solicitor with a strong academic background and a keen interest in financial regulation. Essential skills include excellent analytical and drafting abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to manage complex projects within tight deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also crucial. Prior experience or exposure to financial regulatory matters during training will be advantageous.
