Merchant Finance Associate

As a Merchant Finance Associate at Wolt, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for supporting day-to-day financial processes related to our merchant partners. This role combines analytical work, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, offering a great opportunity to grow within the finance field.

In this role, you will support core financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes while assisting with resolving day-to-day finance-related queries. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to improving financial workflows.

Key responsibilities include acting as a first point of contact for finance-related inquiries from internal teams, supporting the review and validation of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance, investigating and resolving invoice and payment discrepancies at scale, supporting tax-related processes and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, helping ensure timely and accurate processing of financial records and documentation, contributing to process improvements to streamline financial workflows, and participating in cross-functional projects under the guidance of the team manager.

The ideal candidate will have approximately one year of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, a basic understanding of financial bodies, regulations, and standards with a willingness to learn, experience working with Excel and data analysis tools, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders, the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work as part of a team, experience with financial tools and documentation platforms is a plus, and an eagerness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities.
