The Marketing & Business Development Manager for Milbank's Financial Restructuring Group plays a pivotal role in advancing the firm's business development and marketing initiatives within this specialized practice area. Collaborating closely with Practice Group Leaders (PGLs) and partners, the manager is integral to executing strategies that enhance client engagement and elevate the group's visibility. This position reports to the Associate Director of Marketing and Business Development and may involve supervising direct reports as assigned.

Key responsibilities include serving as the primary business development contact for the Financial Restructuring Group's attorneys and PGLs, maintaining and distributing practice group watchlists and engagement trackers, and creating and editing marketing materials such as RFP responses, customized pitches, presentations, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, client alerts, and award and directory submissions. The manager is also tasked with conducting research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry trends to inform business development strategies. Utilizing financial data platforms to identify distressed credit opportunities and analyzing lender positions are also essential aspects of the role.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 5–7 years of relevant business development or marketing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to draft and edit persuasive, polished client-facing content. Strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a high degree of poise and confidence when working with partners and senior professionals are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $160,000 annually, reflecting the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, and location.
