Manufacturing Engineer-GCC
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Fictiv, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our critical manufacturing functions. Operating at the intersection of our customers—referred to as builders—and our manufacturing partners, you will ensure seamless collaboration to deliver high-quality products efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing models, drawings, and parts lists to assess manufacturing feasibility and requirements. You will generate competitive quotes by combining your analysis with Fictiv's software recommendations and collaborate with external suppliers to determine necessary quoting parameters. Additionally, you will develop cost calculators to support new service offerings, provide design feedback to improve manufacturability and cost-effectiveness, and offer insights to enhance the accuracy of our automated quoting systems. Producing high-quality 2D drawings per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards will also be a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate will possess a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical training, along with 2-5 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in CNC machining, including experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, as well as 2-axis and live-tooling lathes, is essential. A strong understanding of GD&T and conventional tolerancing, knowledge of the machinability of common metals and plastics, and familiarity with various sheet metal fabrication processes are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive, self-starting attitude are also important qualities for success in this role.
