Manufacturing Engineer - (CNC)

Fictiv is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC machining to join our Bengaluru, India office. This role is integral to our mission of enabling hardware innovators to build better products faster by bridging the gap between our customers and manufacturing partners. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to creating the world's premier platform for hardware manufacturing.

In this position, you will review and analyze the manufacturability and costs associated with CNC machining projects submitted by our clients. Your responsibilities will include defining optimal manufacturing processes, selecting appropriate machinery, calculating cycle times, and estimating setup costs. Additionally, you will scrutinize quotes from manufacturing partners to ensure cost-effectiveness and negotiate favorable terms to benefit all parties involved.

The ideal candidate will possess 6-8 years of relevant work experience and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach with a strong inclination for documentation. A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with proficiency in reviewing 3D models and 2D prints. Comprehensive knowledge of various CNC machining processes, including 5, 4, and 3-axis milling, turn milling, grinding, gear hobbing, spark and wire EDM, and gun drilling, is essential. A strong background in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is also necessary.
